3 ½ rooms apartment

A beautiful, sun-filled apartment in Wipkingen. ~70 sq. meters and 3.5 rooms (two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom). Rent is 3052 CHF/month. The apartment is available as early as November 2026, with the lease ending at the end of October 2027. The move-in date is flexible, going up to January 2027. There is a possibility that you will be able to take over the lease at the end of the term (information below). **The apartment is lovely**, with south-facing and east-facing windows that receive sunlight throughout the day. A large balcony fits a bistro table and 4 chairs. The main bedroom and living room face a tree that provides natural privacy (as well as cherry blossoms in Spring). The kitchen is well-appointed and includes a dishwasher. Washing machine and dryer in basement. It is on the 2nd floor. You will be renting the apartment furnished as a subtenant (we are not the primary tenants). If the primary tenant does not take the lease back over at the end of October 2027, she will retrieve her furniture and her other things at that point. If you are interested in taking over the lease, she will propose you as a new tenant to her landlord. **The location and neighborhood are ideal**. Although the neighborhood is quiet and pretty, it is also central. It is under 10 minutes via public transportation to Zürich HB or Oerlikon, and about 12 minutes to the airport with no transfers via the S24 S-Bahn. You’ll have access to several trams and many buses (main connection points are Wipkingen Bahnhof, Bucheggplatz, and Schaffhauserplatz). It’s a four minute walk to Röschibachplatz with three grocery stores (Migros, Coop, Denner), an Activfitness gym, several coffee shops, pubs, great bakeries (Tsugi and Jung Seit 1976), and excellent gelato (Gelateria di Berna). The neighborhood also includes one of the top-ranked pizzerias in Europe (Da Noi, formerly Da Pone) and a very good pasta restaurant (Neri). Beyond that, it’s a ten-minute walk to the Limmat and swimming, and ten minutes to the top of Käferberg with a spectacular view of the city and Alps on a clear day. We love this neighborhood and apartment, and would stay if we didn’t have to move for work!
